The Audi Q8 e-tron has finally made its debut in India. It will be offered in two body styles: standard SUV and Sportback coupe SUV. It is expected to be launched next year.
Fun Fact: The Audi Q8 e-tron is essentially a facelift version of the brand’s first series production EV which was introduced in 2018. To avoid any ambiguity regarding its position within Audi’s portfolio, it was renamed as the Q8 e-tron last year.
What powers the Audi Q8 e-tron?
- Powering the Audi Q8 e-tron is a dual-motor set-up producing a combined power output of 408hp and a peak torque of 664Nm, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5.6 seconds.
- Speaking of the battery pack, it has a capacity of 114 kWh, delivering a range of roughly 600 km on a single charge.
Charging Time
- The Q8 e-tron supports a DC fast charging of up to 170kW, which can energise its battery pack from 10-80% in 30 minutes.
- For home charging, Audi will provide a 22kW AC charger with the Q8 e-tron that can juice it up completely in roughly 6 hours.

Design, Interior and Features
- Being a facelift version of the e-tron, the upgraded SUV features a new mesh-pattern redesigned grille with black surrounds, Audi’s new monochrome logo, and revamped front bumper with larger air intakes.
- Towards the back and sides, things remain largely unchanged save for the new 20-inch alloy wheels, ‘Audi’ & ‘Q8 e-tron Quattro badging on the blacked-out B-pillar, and a new rear bumper.
- Inside, the cabin layout remains identical to the outgoing model.
- For creatures’ comfort, the SUV gets: –

Competitors
In the luxury SUV segment, the Q8 e-tron will face competition from the Jaguar I-Pace, which currently ranges between Rs 1.19 – 1.24 crore (ex-showroom).
