Audi Cars In India Set To Get Expensive

0

The German automaker Audi has announced a price hike across its India portfolio by 2 per cent, which will be effective from 15 May 2024. The carmaker attributes this to the direct impact of increased input costs and exchange rates. This will be the second price hike for Audi cars this year, following the first price revision in January.

The forthcoming price revision will be applicable to all Audi models in India, including EVs.

Currently, Audi’s lineup in India comprises sedans like the A4 and A6, as well as SUVs such as Q3, Q3 Sportback, Q5, Q7, and Q8. Performance-oriented models like the S5 Sportback, RS Q8, and the brand’s growing range of electric vehicles—including the Q8 e-tron, Q8 Sportback e-tron, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT—are also subject to the price increase.

While Audi India hasn’t released a detailed model-wise or variant-wise price list yet, the company has confirmed that the extent of the hike will vary depending on the specific model and trim level. The updated price list is expected to be shared with all dealerships in the coming week to help prepare for customer communications and order planning.

Prospective buyers who are planning to purchase an Audi vehicle may want to act before the mid-May price revision comes into effect. Bookings made before the new pricing is implemented could still be honoured at the current ex-showroom rates, depending on dealership policies.
