All Maruti Cars, SUVs Are Now RDE Compliant

Maruti Suzuki India has declared that all of its cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicle offerings are now compliant with the updated BS6 Phase 2 Real Driving Emissions regulations, which were implemented on April 1, 2023. Furthermore, every Maruti model available in India is now capable of operating on E20 fuel.

Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the onboard diagnostics (OBD) system in all its cars, which can now monitor the car’s emissions control systems in real time. In case of any malfunction, the system will alert drivers.

ESP Is Now Standard

With the exception of the Alto K10, S-Presso, and Eeco, Maruti Suzuki has made Electronic Stability Program (ESP) a standard feature across all variant lineups for their remaining models.

In case you’re not familiar, the ESP is a safety mechanism that tracks the driver’s intended movement against the actual movement of the vehicle. And with the help of the Antilock Braking System (ABS) and the traction control system, it adjusts the car’s trajectory and enhances its stability and safety, particularly on tricky or slippery roads.

In other news, Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the Fronx crossover in India, with prices starting from Rs 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, the next big launch from India’s largest passenger carmaker will be the 5-door Jimny, whose prices were leaked recently.
