Images of the interior of the upcoming Hyundai Exter have emerged online ahead of its launch on July 10, 2023. While bearing resemblance to the Grand i10 Nios, notable modifications can be observed. Here are the details: –
- Compared to the Grand i10 Nios, which features a dual-tone dash, the Exter gets an all-black scheme.
- Similar to the Nios, it has a floating rectangular single-piece unit (probably of 8-inches) that sits above the central AC vents and is integrated into the instrument cluster’s panel. The instrument is, however, an all-digital unit like the Hyundai i20.
- To enhance user experience, the infotainment system of the Hyundai Exter is equipped with tactile controls, including buttons and dials, ensuring convenient operation.
- The other notable interior bits and features of the upcoming Hyundai Exter include a 3-point steering wheel, cruise control, steering-mounted controls and multi-language support.
- Additionally, Hyundai previously announced that the Exter will feature a single-pane electric sunroof, a dash cam with dual cameras, six standard airbags, and standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), among others.
Engine Options
- Beneath the hood, the Exter will be offered with Grand i10 Nios’s 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, petrol engine with 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options. It will also get an optional factory-fitted CNG kit; mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Variants and Expected Prices
- The Exter will be offered in seven broad trim levels: EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect.
- We believe the prices of the Hyundai Exter to start from around Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Tata Punch, Citroen C3, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
