Skoda Kushaq Facelift Deliveries To Begin In March; Production Starts

Skoda India has begun series production of the Kushaq facelift at its Chakan plant in Pune. Its bookings are already underway for a token amount of Rs 15,000, while deliveries are set to commence in March 2026. Once launched, it will continue its rivalry with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Volkswagen Tiguan.

2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift – What’s New?

With the mid-life facelift update, Skoda has addressed several of the Kushaq’s earlier shortcomings, while also introducing subtle cosmetic changes and new features, making it a more mature and well-rounded product than before.

2026 Skoda Kushaq deliveries
  • To start with, the new Kushaq boasts the brand’s “Modern Solid” design philosophy, featuring a new butterfly grille up front with a redesigned headlamp setup connected by a sleek LED light bar that runs through the grille.
  • Skoda has also revised the front bumper with a new lower apron and a new skid plate design.
  • Things remain largely unchanged on the sides, save for the newly designed alloy wheels.
  • The rear of the 2026 Kushaq features a new, full-width LED light setup with an illuminated ‘SKODA’ lettering and sequential turn indicators.
  • The tailgate and rear bumper have also been tweaked for a cleaner appearance.
  • It is also important to note that the Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition is now part of the regular variant lineup right from launch, which adds some blacked-out elements and red highlights to various parts of the SUV for a sportier feel.

2026 new Skoda Kushaq interior and features
  • Inside, the Kushaq facelift flaunts a new colour scheme for a refreshed look, along with new amenities like panoramic sunroof and rear seat massage function (segment 1st).
  • The brand has also updated the user interface of the infotainment system, while a new digital driver’s display has been introduced.
  • Besides, Skoda has also strengthened the variant distribution to make the entry-level trims more feature-rich. That said, features like alloy wheels, sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper & washer, rear defogger, auto AC, rear sequential turn indicators and touchscreen infotainment are now offered as standard fitment across all variants. Additionally, front parking sensors are available as an option for the base variant and come standard on all other trims.
  • Features like a 360-degree camera, rear sunblinds, rear seat recline function, and an ADAS suite are still a big miss.

Underneath the hood, Skoda has introduced a new AISIN-sourced 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission option for the 1-litre, 3-cylinder unit for smoother shifts, improved driving comfort and better fuel economy, while the 1.5-litre engine will continue to be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
