Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike for its select offerings, which will come into effect from April 8, 2025. As revealed last month, the carmaker has revised the prices due to rising input costs, operational expenses and new feature additions.
Let’s take a quick look at the models impacted by the price hike: –

As seen in the table above, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will experience the most price hike, followed by the Eeco van and the WagonR compact hatchback. The Maruti Fronx is the least affected by the price hike.
For now, prices of the remaining Maruti Suzuki models remain unchanged.

Looking Ahead
In other news, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch its first all-electric offering, the eVitara, in the coming weeks. This electrified SUV was first revealed in production guise at the 2025 Auto Expo. It will be offered with two battery pack options: a 49kWh and a larger 61kWh. These batteries use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) blade cells from BYD and are paired with a front-wheel mounted electric motor. Here’s a look at its specifications: –

Globally, the eVitara will also be offered with the ALLGRIP-e electric 4WD system. However, it is unlikely to make it to the Indian market, at least at the time of launch.
