Ola Electric’s Future Lineup Revealed

Ola Electric is gearing up to expand its product portfolio with several new launches, including a new S2 range of electric scooters, maxi scooters, street naked motorcycles, a cruiser, an adventure motorcycle, and more. Here are the details: –

New Ola Electric Scooters

Ola has plans to introduce six new electric scooters post-second quarter of FY26. This includes S1 Sports, S2 City, S2 Sports, S3 Grand Adventure, S2 Tourer and S3 Grand Tourer.

  • As the name suggests, the S1 Sports will be a high-performance electric scooter that is expected to be based on the existing S1 Gen-3 platform. It is likely to be the most powerful and fastest scooter in the S1 lineup.
  • All the models in the S2 and S3 range are expected to be based on the new-generation platforms.

  • The S2 range will comprise three models: S2 City, S2 Sports and S2 Tourer. On the other hand, the S3 range will have the S3 Grand Adventure and S3 Grand Tourer, catering to a niche audience.
  • The S2 City is expected to be an affordable model that will be made especially for city commutes. On the contrary, the S2 Sport will offer a balance between performance and range. Lastly, the S2 Tourer will be a maxi-styled scooter designed for long-distance commutes and intercity touring.
  • The S3 Adventure will be suited for long-distance touring with capabilities to handle bad surfaces, whereas the S3 Grand Tourer will be meant for high-speed highway cruising.

Author’s Take

Ola Electric has an ambitious roadmap with several interesting models in the pipeline. However, turning these plans into reality is a different challenge altogether. From the very beginning, the brand has struggled to meet its deadlines. A recent example is the Ola Roadster, whose deliveries were initially promised to begin in mid-March. However, the deadline has already passed, and there has been no official update from the EV maker regarding the delay. This pattern raises concerns about Ola Electric’s ability to deliver on its commitments.

While the company has made bold claims about revolutionizing the EV industry, repeated delays can impact customer trust and market credibility. A lack of transparency about production challenges further adds to the uncertainty.

With competition in the electric two-wheeler space heating up, timely execution, customer satisfaction, and clear communication will be crucial for Ola Electric to maintain its position in the market. If the company fails to address these issues, potential buyers might start looking at more reliable alternatives.
