Maruti Suzuki Achieves Record-Breaking Sales in FY 2024-25

  • Crosses 2 million annual sales for the second consecutive year.
  • Records highest-ever domestic sales of 1.79 million units in FY 2024-25.
  • Achieves all-time high exports of 3.32 lakh units, leading India’s car exports.
  • 332,585 units exported in FY 2024-25, a 17.5% increase over last year.

Maruti Suzuki India has achieved yet another record-breaking sales milestone, registering its highest-ever total sales of 2,234,266 units in FY 2024-25. This marks the second consecutive year the company has surpassed the 2 million annual sales mark.

In March 2025, Maruti Suzuki sold 192,984 units, which includes 153,134 domestic sales, 6,882 units sold to other OEMs, and 32,968 exports.

Strong Performance Across Segments

  • The Mini & Compact segment, comprising models like the Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR, accounted for 896,507 units in FY 2024-25, slightly lower than the 970,109 units in FY 2023-24.
  • The Utility Vehicle (UV) segment, including Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, and XL6, saw significant growth, with 720,186 units sold, compared to 642,296 units last year.
  • The Eeco van continued to be a strong seller, with 135,672 units sold in FY 2024-25.

Exports & Future Outlook

Maruti Suzuki also posted its highest-ever export figures, shipping 332,585 units globally, a 17% growth over the previous year (283,067 units). With a strong domestic presence and growing exports, Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate the Indian automobile market.

  • Fronx, Jimny, Baleno, Swift, and Dzire were the most exported models.
  • The top five export markets included South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Japan, and Mexico.
  • Maruti Suzuki now holds a 43% share of India’s total passenger vehicle exports, solidifying its leadership for four consecutive years.

As the company enters the next financial year, it is expected to further expand its lineup and production capacity to maintain its leadership position. In fact, it is set to export the all-new e-VITARA EV to 100 countries, including Europe and Japan, starting in FY 2025-26.
