Kia Carnival Discontinued In India

  • Kia India has stopped receiving bookings for the Carnival in India and even removed it from its official website, indicating its discontinuation from the Indian market.
  • For those who aren’t aware, the Carnival was launched in India in 2020 as a more premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta and proved to be an impressive people mover for its price tag.
  • Initially available in various seating configurations, including a 9-seater option, the Carnival was eventually limited to the 6 and 7-seater variants before being discontinued.
  • Powering the Carnival was a 2.2-litre diesel engine (200PS/440Nm), mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
  • Before discontinuation, this Korean MPV was priced between Rs 30.99 lakh to Rs 35.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It was locally assembled from CKD kits.
