Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus Specifications and Variant Details Out

It is widely known that Mahindra has been developing an extended version of the Bolero Neo SUV, referred to as the โ€ Bolero Neo Plus.โ€ This particular model has been undergoing extensive testing for a considerable duration. Recently, a leaked RTO document has surfaced online, revealing crucial details about its engine specifications, dimensions and variant options.

Variants and Seating Options

  • As per the leaked document, the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus will be offered in six variants: P4 7Str, P10, P10 (R), P10 7Str, P10 7Str (R) and an ambulance-specific P4 4-seater with extra space for the stretcher.
  • It will be offered in both 7- and 9-seater configurations for passenger use.

Dimensions

  • Against the measuring tape, the Bolero Neo Plus measures 4400mm long, 1795mm wide, and 1812mm tall and possesses a wheelbase of 2680mm.
  • Although the width and wheelbase remain the same as its standard version, the length of the vehicle has been increased by an additional 4005mm. This extension is to accommodate two extra passengers, resulting in a longer overhang.

Engine Options

  • Going by the leaked documents, the SUV will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that makes 120PS of maximum power at 4,000rpm in power mode and 95PS at 3600rpm in eco mode.
  • If you arenโ€™t aware, the standard Bolero Neo comes with a 100PS 1.5-litre diesel engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Design and Features

  • Design-wise, the Bolero Neo Plus will look similar to its standard version, save for some minor cosmetic changes like a revised front grille, redone bumpers and new headlamps with LED daytime running lamps (DRLs).
  • When it comes to features, the extended Bolero Neo will retain all features of the standard model, including 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, coloured MID, cornering lamps, cruise control, steering mounted controls, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
  • In compliance with the upcoming safety regulations, the SUV is anticipated to have six airbags as standard, ensuring enhanced protection for occupants.

Expected Price

We expect the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus to hit the Indian market around the festive season this year, with prices expected to start from around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
