BYD Sealion 7 Gets More Affordable With Introduction of The New Dynamic Variant

BYD has introduced a new entry-level Dynamic variant for the Sealion 7 EV at Rs 41.90 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it is Rs 8 lakh more affordable than the previous base-spec Premium variant (Rs 49.90 lakh).

BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic – What Does It Offer?

The new Sealion 7 Dynamic variant comes with a smaller battery pack and fewer features compared to the other variants of the electrified SUV. That said, BYD has offered the Dynamic variant with a smaller 71.8kWh Blade battery pack instead of the 82.56 kWh unit offered in the other variants. Claiming a range of 520km on a single charge, this battery pack comes paired with a 231 PS single rear-mounted motor, enabling the SUV to complete the century sprint in just 7.3 seconds.

Compared to the higher variants, the Dynamic trim skips features like larger 20-inch alloys, Tahiti Blue cabin theme, a head-up display (HUD), gesture-controlled function for the tailgate, leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto-tilt function for side mirrors, memory function for side mirrors, powered lumbar adjustment for the driver’s seat, power adjustable driver seat leg rest, memory function for the driver’s seat, dynamic mood lights with rhythm function, a PM2.5 air filter, and Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

The Sealion 7 electric SUV faces competition from the Kia EV6 (Rs 65.98 lakh), Hyundai IONIQ 5 (Rs 55.71 lakh), and BMW iX1 LWB (Rs 52.7 lakh).
