BMW X3 Gets A New xLine Diesel Variant; Luxury Edition Axed

BMW has launched a new XLine variant for the X3 at Rs 67.5 lakh (ex-showroom), replacing the Luxury Edition from its lineup. With this, the BMW X3 is now available in two variant options.

BMW X3 xLine – Engine and Performance

Powering the BMW X3 xDrive20d xLine variant is the same 2-litre, 4-cyl, turbo-diesel mill that makes 190PS and 400Nm. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel biased all-wheel drive system (AWD).

The X3 claims a fuel efficiency of 16.55kmpl and can do the nought to 100kmph sprint in just 7.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 213kmph.

  • The sturdy-looking X3 xLine variant comes loaded with features like adaptive LED headlamps, a powered tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, powered front seats with memory function, a wireless smartphone charger, three driving modes (ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT), a Harman Kardon Surround Sound system, and a 12.3-inch infotainment unit powered by BMW iDrive 7 operating system. 
  • For passengers’ safety, the xLine gets multiple airbags, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), an electric parking brake with auto hold function, tyre pressure indicator, front & rear parking sensors, hill descent control, hill start assist, high beam assist, and cruise control with braking function.
  • Compared to the range-topping M Sport variant, it misses out on Dynamic Damper Control, gesture control for infotainment, 360-degree camera and head-up display (HUD).
