Facelifted Hyundai Grand i10 and Aura Revealed; Bookings Open

Hyundai Motors India has silently unveiled the facelift versions of the Grand i10 Nios and Aura, and commenced their bookings for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Their prices are expected to be revealed in the coming days.

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has undergone subtle cosmetic changes. The front facia of the compact hatch has been renewed with the new blacked-out grille, flanked by sharply styled body-coloured trim pieces that house the new arrow-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs).

The side profile of the hatch is largely unchanged save for the flashy redesigned alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets new tail lamps with a connected LED strip running across the boot. The design of the tailgate, as well as the rear bumper, have also been tweaked.

Step inside, and you’ll find the Grand i10 Nios hasn’t changed much. However, the Korean carmaker has made some neat inclusions in the form of a new instrument cluster, footwell lighting, cruise control, and new seat upholstery.

Not only this, but the brand has also enhanced the safety quotient of the car. Having said that, it now comes with four airbags (dual front and front side airbags) as standard, with the range-topping variant boasting curtain airbags as well. It also receives electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold control, vehicle stability management (VSM) and ISOFIX anchors.

What’s more interesting is that the hatch is now available with three interior colour schemes: Black/Grey, all-black with red inserts and all-black with green inserts. For the exterior, the 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios gets a new Spark Green shade, available in both monotone and dual-tone options.

Speaking of the powertrain, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine available with the pre-facelift model has been discontinued. With this, the facelifted Grand i10 Nios will only be available with the 83PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill, coupled with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. A factory-fitted CNG kit option is also available with this engine, albeit only in manual guise.

2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift

Along with the refreshed Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai has also revealed the facelift iteration of the Aura sub-4m SUV. Most of the exterior changes are found on its front end, which receives a two-part grille design with Hyundai’s logo integrated into the upper part. Furthermore, its lower grille mesh and fang-like LED DRLs differentiate it from the hatchback’s pre-facelift version. The side and rear profiles of the sedan remain untouched.

Inside, the 2023 Aura boasts a new light-grey upholstery with an ‘Aura’ inscription on the backrest. The lower-half section of the dash has also been dropped in a beige colour scheme that gives it a refreshing appeal.

Features addition include an analogue instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch MID, USB C-type fast charger, footwell lighting, automatic headlamps, up to 6 airbags (4 airbags standard), ESC (electronic stability control), hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Like the Grand i10 Nios, the Aura facelift retains its 1.2-litre petrol and CNG engines. The turbocharged petrol engine has been dropped for now.
