Benelli 502C Bookings Open, Launch Scheduled For July End

Italian bike manufacturer Benelli has finally unveiled the 502C middleweight cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market. Bookings of the bike have also been commenced at a token amount of Rs 10,000, ahead of its launch by July end.

The Benelli 502C is powered by the same 500cc eight-valve, DOHC liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as the Benelli TRK 502 adventure and Leoncino 500 retro scrambler that can produce a maximum power output of 47.6PS at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 46Nm at 6,000rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox linked to a final chain drive.

Built on a trellis frame, the Benelli 502C's styling will remind you of the Ducati Diavel. However, it has its own unique characters. Features onboard include an all-LED lighting system, dual-channel ABS, adjustable footrests, and a fully digital instrument cluster with dual display modes. The bike is available in two colour options- Red and Black.

As for underpinnings, the Benelli 502C features 41mm diameter upside-down forks at the front (having 135mm of travel) and a rear preload-adjustable mono-shock unit with 50mm of travel. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/60 rear section tyres. The braking system, on the other hand, comprises 280mm dual discs at the front, while 240mm single dis is present at the back.
