Honda Hornet 2.0 Gets Extramaxx Tyres From Maxxis

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) launched Hornet 2.0 today in India. Like the expired CB Hornet 160, it's also a streetfighter with 184cc heart. The new Honda Hornet 2.0 gets the Extramaxx tyres from Maxxis India, for which the brand has associated with Honda by being an exclusive OEM partner for the Hornet 2.0.

As per this association, The new Hornet CB 200R or Hornet 2.0 bike will come fitted with Extramaxx tyres of 110/70-17 M6233 section at the front and 140/70-17 M6234 at the rear.

What's so special about Extramaxx Tyres?

  • The Extramaxx tyres use Aramid Fibre (used for making bulletproof vests) and the dual compound technology that reduces the rolling resistance while improving stability and tyre life. 
  • The unique ‘Carcass Breaker’ structure of Extramaxx tyres makes it 2 times stronger than a regular tyre.
  • The side compound on the rear tyre contributes greater traction and better control during cornering/turns.
  • Its wide and flatter tyre profile provides a broader contact patch which gives better gripping on the road and improve handling at high speeds.
