The fast and the furious Audi RS7 Sportback has been launched in India providing the speed and thrill fanboys with a reason to be enthralled.
Launched at the price of Rs. 1.94 Crores, it happens to be the second generation of the RS7 and the fourth Audi offering on sale in India at the moment, alongside, A6, A8 L, and Q8.

Exterior
Audi has left almost no stone unturned to ensure that the RS7 gets a personality that is completely unique. Right from the front, where it gets an aggressive face with design elements like blacked out single frame honeycomb-shaped grille, a redesigned bumper that gets large air intake vents and Matrix Adaptive LED headlights.
Not only does the RS7 sit lower than the A7, but it also gets a wider front and rear track. RS7 Sportback is offered with a couple of wheel choices, while the 21-inch alloys are offered as standard, 22-inches wheels are available as optional on the RS7.
LED taillights at the back are linked by a LED light bar. The car also comes equipped with an electronically operated spoiler that pops up at speeds above 100 kmph. As a signature RS touch, the rear bumper houses uniquely designed oval tailpipes.
Interior
On the inside, RS7 retains the basic design layout of second-generation A7. It gets a dual touchscreen setup and a virtual cockpit digital instrumentation cluster. The spice of sporting flavor is added by an RS spec flat-bottomed steering wheel featuring Aluminium paddle shifters. It also gets the RS sport seats.
The heart of the RS7- V8 beast
The real highlight of the RS7 clearly lies under the hood, a 4.0L, twin-turbocharged V8 beast that produces a staggering 600 HP of power and 800 Nm of torque (paired with 48V mild-hybrid system).
When the numbers are pitched up against the previous generation RS7, the latest generation observes a marginal dip from 605HP, but the torque output has gone up by a significant 50Nm.
The V8 beast comes paired up with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and Audi's Quattro all drive system. The gigantic power figures translate well as far as the acceleration figures are concerned. The 4.0 L petrol engine offered with RS7 can achieve three-digit speeds within a single blink of an eye in mind-boggling 3.6 seconds.
As far as top speed is concerned, the standard RS7 boasts of impressive top speed figure of 250 kmph (electronically limited) In case a buyer fancies higher top speed, they may opt for optional Dynamic (Top speed of 280 kmph) and Dynamic Plus (Top speed of 305 kmph) packages.
The RS7 also gets very exclusive safety features like cylinder deactivation tech, adaptive air suspension offered as standard. While inclusions like a carbon-ceramic brake, all-wheel steering and heads-up display are offered as optional extras.
Rivals
As the AMG E-63 is no longer listed on Mercedes Benz's official website, it means that the RS7 Sportback only has a single direct competitor which happens to be the BMW M5 and though the price is not really a criterion which will carry critical consideration the BMW counterpart retails at a price 39 Lakhs cheaper than the RS7 Sportbacksportback.
