The Tata Punch Facelift has finally been launched in India, with prices starting from Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). For 2026, the micro urban utility vehicle has received updated styling both inside and outside, along with added features and a new turbocharged petrol engine, making it a more mature product than before.

Bolder Appearance

  • The 2026 Punch has undergone some meaningful styling changes, while retaining its familiar boxy silhouette.
  • Up front, it gets a revised fascia with slimmer eyebrow LED DRLs and a blacked-out piano-finished grille.
  • The bumper design has also been updated, featuring black cladding with a silver skid plate, giving it a bolder appearance.
  • Things remain largely the same on the sides, except for the new 16-inch alloy wheels.
  • Towards the rear, new connected LED taillights and a revised bumper rejuvenate the overall look.

More Tech-savvy Cabin

  • A host of things have been changed inside the cabin as well.
  • While the dashboard layout remains largely the same, it now gets a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, and revised AC controls featuring touch-based panels with physical toggle switches.
  • It also receives new dual-tone grey & blue upholstery.
  • Regarding features, the 2026 Tata Punch comes equipped with a new & larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 7-inch digital cluster, a 360-degree camera, six airbags as standard fitment and hill descent control.
  • Besides, amenities like rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, height-adjustable driver seat, a 6-speaker sound system, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, ambient lighting, connected car tech, a single-pane sunroof, ESC, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchors, etc, have been retained from the outgoing model.

More Power Underneath The Hood

Another significant update comes in the form of a more powerful 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Tata Altroz Racer, offered alongside the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrain options. The latter is now also available with the convenience of a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
