2026 Renault Kwid Launched With Revised Lineup; Gets More Affordable

Renault has updated its entry-level Kwid hatchback for 2026, making it available in just two variants: Evolution and Climber. Compared to the previous model, it now comes at a relatively lower price, and the previously available entry-spec Authentic and mid-spec Techno variants have now been removed from its lineup.

  • Buyers can also opt for a retrofitted CNG kit with the Kwid’s manual variants at an additional cost of Rs 70,450, with a 3-year/1 lakh km standard warranty (whichever is earlier). 
  • Customers can also avail a special discount of up to Rs 15,000 on online booking.

2026 Renault Kwid – What’s New?

  • At first glance, the 2026 Kwid looks identical to the previous version; however, it now receives new 3D Renault badges, redesigned wheel covers and a different font for the KWID lettering on the tailgate.
  • Inside, it gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel, borrowed from the Kiger, featuring audio & telephony controls for your convenience.
  • Besides, everything else remains the same. That said, the Kwid continues to get amenities like LED DRLs, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital cluster, all-four power windows, day/night IRVM, steering-mounted controls, remote keyless entry with central locking, manual AC with heater, 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, traction control, hill assist (AMT only), and rear parking sensors with camera, making it the segment’s most feature-rich offering.

What Powers The Kwid?

Powering the Renault Kwid is a 1-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 69hp of max power and 92.5Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).

In the entry-level hatchback segment, the Kwid locks horns with the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and S-Presso.
