Hyundai India has recently given the Exter a mid-life facelift update, with prices now ranging from Rs 5.80 lakh to Rs 9.42 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact urban utility vehicle gets subtle cosmetic tweaks, revised variant nomenclature, and some feature additions. Here are the details: –
2026 Hyundai Exter: Variants and Full Price List
As mentioned above, Hyundai has revised the variant nomenclature of the Exter, and it is now available in seven variants: HX2, HX3, HX4, HX4 Plus, HX6, HX8 and HX10.

2026 Hyundai Exter: Cosmetic Changes
While the 2026 Hyundai Exter retains the familiar boxy silhouette, it features subtle styling changes over the outgoing model. These include: –
- Connected gloss black panel between the H-shaped DRLs with “EXTER” lettering
- A new rectangular gloss black grille
- Dual-tone bumper with a revised faux silver skid plate pattern
- Restyled dual-tone alloy wheels
- Chunkier cladding over the wheel arches
- New C-pillar garnish
- A new wing-type design for the roof spoiler
- Updated rear bumper with a slim silver accent
- New finish for the black panel connecting the tail-lamps
- Underbody-mounted spare wheel
Aside from the above-mentioned revision, the Hyundai Exter looks identical to the previous model from the outside.
New Colour Options
For 2026 Exter, Hyundai has introduced two new colour options: Titanium Black in Matte finish and Golden Bronze. These new shades are offered alongside the existing hues, namely Starry Night, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Titanium Black, and Ranger Khaki. However, the Abyss Black shade has now been discontinued.
Interior and New Features
- Inside, the 2026 Exter comes don in a new & more premium-looking dual-tone grey and navy blue scheme, replacing the earlier all-black finish. However, the dashboard layout remains unchanged.
- Hyundai has also offered a new faux carbon-fibre like atrim cross the dashboard, semi-fabric beige upholstery, segment-first dashcam and a new flat-bottom steering wheel.
- It now also gets an individual armrest for the driver.
- Additionally, the pedals are now finished in metal, rear passengers now get type-C charging ports and Apple CarPlay & Android Auto are now wireless via a portable adapter.
- Besides, the height-adjustable driver seat and adjustable rear headrests are now standard across the variant lineup.

Other Features Onboard
The facelifted Exter retains amenities like auto headlamps, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster with coloured MID, auto-dimming IRVM, single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, cruise control, wireless charger, engine start/stop button, paddle shifters, six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, traction control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, hill assist, and rear parking sensors with camera.
Mechanically Unchanged
Hyundai hasn’t made any changes underneath the hood. It retains the 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrain options from the outgoing model.
