BMW X1 LWB: Design and Dimensions

The BMW X1 LWB looks identical to the regular X1, except for the elongated side profile. That said, it is 116mm longer than the standard X1, which results in 108mm of added length at the wheelbase, creating more cabin space for your comfort.

Other than that, it retains the same kidney grille, swept-back headlamps, M Sport styling package with sporty bumpers and 18-inch alloy wheels. However, the only other visual distinction is the chrome surround around the large windows, which gets a blacked-out finish on the standard X1. Buyers can also opt for a Shadow package for a stealthier, darker appearance.

BMW has offered the X1 LWB in four colours: Skyscraper Grey, Carbon Black, Night Dusk Blue, and Mineral White.

Regarding features, it comes equipped with amenities such as adaptive LED headlamps, a powered tailgate, digital key support, powered front seats with memory function for the driver’s seat, rear seat recline function, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, a 10.7-inch infotainment touchscreen with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, connected car technology, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, wireless smartphone charging, electronic parking brake, 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, auto park assist, and a few ADAS functions such as auto emergency braking and lane departure warning and assist.
