Bajaj Pulsar N160 Single Seat Variant – What’s on Offer?

The new Bajaj Pulsar N160 Single Seat variant gets a long countered seat instead of the split-seat setup. It also features a more convenient single-piece grab handle and a single-channel ABS setup rather than the dual-channel ABS. Suspension duties are handled by a conventional 37mm telescopic fork and an adjustable monoshock.

The rest of the bike remains unchanged. It is powered by the same 164.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 16PS of max power and 14.65Nm of peak torque. For anchoring, it gets a 300mm front and 230mm rear disc setup. It features a 17-inch wheel setup with a 100-section front tyre and a 130-section rear tyre. The seat height is unchanged at 795mm.

In terms of features, the new variant gets an LED headlamp setup and digital cluster with Bluetooth connectivity to show call/SMS alerts. Unfortunately, it skips the navigation assist function and ABS modes.

Author’s Take

The new Bajaj Pulsar N160 single-seat variant is an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers, especially since it undercuts even the Pulsar N150’s base trim. The single-seat design not only enhances comfort for solo riders but also gives the bike a distinctive appearance to its dual-seat counterpart. However, the absence of dual-channel ABS may affect braking performance and ride dynamics.
