Ather 450S and 450X: What’s New?
2025 Ather 450S
- The entry-level Ather 450S comes with a 2.9kWh battery pack that provides an IDC range of 122 km.
- It now comes with a slightly faster 375W charger than the older 350W unit.
- The brand has also hiked the price of the Pro Pack by Rs 14,000.
2025 Ather 450X
- The 2025 Ather 450X now comes with Magic Twist and three Traction Control Modes (Rain, Road, and Rally). The Rally mode is designed to enhance performance with quicker acceleration and better handling for spirited rides and challenging terrains.
- The Magic Twist is essentially a regenerative braking system, which was previously limited to the 450 Apex. Ather claims that this system is so effective that it can reduce the need for traditional brakes in most situations. However, we haven’t tested this yet.
- It also receives two new colour options: Hyper Sand and Stealth Blue.
- On the hardware front, the 2025 Ather 450X now comes wrapped in new MRF Zapper N e-Tred tyres, which are specially designed to reduce rolling resistance, thus boosting real-world range by approximately 25%.
- The 450X 2.9kWh variant offers an extended range of 126 kilometres, along with improved acceleration and a faster 700W charger, which can juice up its battery pack 80% within 3 hours. For those who require more range, the 450X 3.7kWh version now offers an extended range of 161 kilometres on a single charge.
- Customers opting for the Pro Pack can get the new AtherStack 6 software, offering practical features like Google Maps, Whatsapp notifications on the dashboard, Ping My Scooter, live location sharing and Alexa pairing.
