The facelifted Kia Sonet is all set to make its official debut on December 14, 2023. But ahead of its arrival, the carmaker has teased the updated SUV, giving us a sneak peek of its front design and interior.
2024 Kia Sonet Facelift – What Does The Teaser Video Reveal?
Revealed by the official teaser, the 2024 Kia Sonet will receive a new front design featuring revamped LED headlamps with inverted L-shaped LED DRLs. The bumper design has also been revised, now showcasing new LED fog lamps and a silver faux skid plate.
Inside, it will continue to get a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a BOSE premium sound system.
2024 Kia Sonet Facelift – What Else We Know So Far?
- Going by the earlier leaked images, the facelifted Kia Sonet will also receive new alloys, an updated rear panel with newly connected LED taillights, and a revised bumper.
- Inside the cabin, it will retain the ongoing dashboard layout, albeit with a revised HVAC panel.
- It is also expected to get a 360-degree surround view system, and some camera-based ADAS features like Hyundai Venue. For reference, the Hyundai Venue comes loaded with advanced active safety techs like Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist For Car, Pedestrian and Cycle, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Lane Following Assist (LFA), High Beam Assist (HBA), and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA).
- Besides, features like auto AC, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, in-built air purifier, cruise control, height-adjustable driver’s seat, auto-dimming IRVM, up to six airbags, ISOFIX anchors, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, etc., will continue to be on offer.

Powertrain
Mechanically, the Kia Sonet facelift is expected to remain unchanged. It will continue to get the same engine options: 1.2-litre petrol (83PS/115Nm), 1-litre turbo-petrol (120PS/172Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (116PS/250Nm).
Rival
Once launched, the Kia Sonet will emerge as a more competitive offering against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
