Toyota has finally brought the facelifted Camry Hybrid to our shore at Rs 41.7 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India), making it Rs 50,000 more expensive than its predecessor.
2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid – What’s New?
Being a facelifted model, the new Camry has received tons of visual changes in the form of a revised front bumper with a new upper and lower grille with chrome accents. There are also the new 18-inch alloy wheels and rear lamp clusters with refreshed internals. Toyota has also added a new Deep Metal Grey exterior shade to its existing color palette that comprises Graphite Metallic, Red Mica, Attitude Black, Platinum White Pearl, Silver Metallic, and Burning Black.

Inside the cabin, the updated Camry features a new 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment with physical buttons and dials. It also gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration support. The other notable features of the executive sedan include a new beige or black leather seat upholstery options, three-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charger, heads-up display, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a JBL sound system, an electric sunroof with a retractable sunshade, and three drive modes: Sport, Eco and Normal.
On the safety front, it gets nine airbags, ABS, park assist, vehicle stability control, electronic parking brake with brake hold function, hill start assist, traction control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Powertrain
Under the hood, the Camry continues with the ongoing 2.5-liter self-charging petrol-hybrid engine that churns out a combined output of 218PS and comes mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters. It can be driven in pure ICE / pure EV mode or a combination of both. Its battery gets an 8-year/1.6 lakh-km warranty (whichever comes first).
