2022 KTM 390 Adventure Launched With New Features

When it comes to mid-size adventure bikes, the KTM 390 ADV is a well-known name in the sub 400cc category. This aggressively styled off-road beast has received some visual changes and the addition of some new features. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the details of the new KTM in town.

2022 KTM 390 Adventure – What’s New?

  • The all-new 390 Adventure gets two new traction control modes: Street and Offroad, whereas the latter will allow the bike to slide the rear wheel, making it easier to get through wet or loose terrain. KTM has also stated that the new off-road mode will remain activated even if the bike stalls or falls.
  • It also receives new five-spoke alloy wheels that are claimed to be stiffer than its predecessor.
  • While the design of the updated ADV remains unchanged, it gets two new color options: KTM Factory Racing Blue and Dark Galvano Black, along with refreshed graphics.

Engine and underpinnings

Powering the 2022 KTM 390 Adventure is the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of generating maximum power of 43.5PS and 37Nm. For the transmission, the engine has a 6-speed gearbox paired with a chain final drive.

Underneath, the new 390 ADV continues to employ the same steel trellis subframe suspended on WP Apex USD forks and adjustable mono-shock. Braking duties are taken care of by a 320mm disc and ByBre 4-piston brake caliper on the front while on the back, there is a 280mm disc along with a single-piston brake caliper, assisted by a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (lean-angle sensitive).
