2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Launched In India At Rs 11.55 Lakh

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has launched the 2022 Versys 1000 in India. Available in a single Candy Lime Green colour, the flagship ADV has been priced at Rs 11,55,000 (ex-showroom). Interested customers can reserve one at their nearest Kawasaki dealership. However, the deliveries of the bike will start from mid of November 2021. It will compete against the upcoming BMW F 900 XR and the upcoming Suzuki V-Strom 1050.

At the heart of the quarter-litre premium adventure tourer resides the ongoing 1,043cc, in-line 4-cylinder, 16 valves, liquid-cooled engine that produces 120PS at 9,000rpm and 102Nm at 7,500rpm. The power is channelled to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox, assisted by a slipper clutch.

In terms of features, the Kawasaki Versys 1000 comes with twin-LED headlamps, an adjustable windscreen, an analogue-style tachometer with a fully-digital instrumentation display, and a number of electronic driving aids like electronic throttle valves, cornering management function, electronic cruise control, traction control, and intelligent anti-lock braking system. It now also gets a DC power socket as standard.

Based on the aluminium twin-tube frame, the front and rear suspension settings of the new Versys 1000 have been updated for plusher feel, whereas the lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels and upright riding position further contribute to quick & sporty handling.

Kawasaki has also launched the K-care package for the 2022 Versys 1000. This package includes an extended warranty and an annual maintenance contract for four years.
