2021 Suzuki Hayabusa Second Batch Likely To Arrive By August

Suzuki Motorcycle India had launched the third-generation Hayabusa in April 2021, and its first batch of 101 units was sold within just 48 hours of its launch in India. Now, Suzuki is gearing up to bring the second lot of the Hayabusa in our country. It has been reported to arrive by July or August 2021. Also, the upcoming batch could receive a significant price hike. For reference, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa was launched at Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom India).

For the people not in know, it was the first major update for Suzuki Hayabusa since 2008. It has received subtle design and feature changes. Although the reforms were not extreme, they have contributed to improving the aerodynamics and riding quotient of the bike. The change includes fresh bodywork, newly designed headlamp & taillamp, redesigned front fairing, and a new exhaust system that helped the bike to fade out 2kg compared to the previous model.

The most prominent development for the new Hayabusa lies in its electronics section. It has received a plethora of riding aids such as e ride-by-wire technology, launch control system, 10-level traction control, 10-level wheelie control, six-axis IMU, three-level engine brake control, and an-all new Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) that emphasizes on Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS). The SDMC allows the rider to choose between six riding modes that combine three factories pre-sets (A: Active, B: Basic, and C: Comfort), as well as three user-defined settings (U1, U2, U3).

The other striking features of the new Busa include an all-LED lighting system, bi-directional quick shifter, hill assist control, a new TFT screen that displays a lot of riding info & statics such as ambient temperature, riding modes, lean angle, traction control, etc. 

2021 Hayabusa is powered by a 1340cc, 4-stroke, fuel-injected liquid-cooled, DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder engine that delivers 190PS at 9,700rpm and 150Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with a bi-directional quick shifter and a slip-&-assist-clutch.

Suzuki introduced the new Hayabusa in three color schemes – Metallic Matt Sword Silver with Candy Daring Red, Glass Sparkle Black with Candy Burnt Gold, and Pearl Brilliant White with Metallic Matt Stellar Blue. It competes with the BMW S 1000 RR and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R in the Indian market.
