14,000 Units Of Mahindra XUV700 To Be Delivered By January 14, 2022

Enjoying the success of the XUV700 in the Indian market, Mahindra & Mahindra has now announced that it will deliver 14,000 units of the mid-size SUV by 14th January 2021. Deliveries of the petrol variants of the XUV700 are set to begin from October 30, followed by diesel variants by the end of November 2021. Mahindra has also started communicating the exact delivery dates to their customers.

For those who aren't aware, the XUV700 has already crossed over 65,000 bookings so far. As a matter of fact, the first 50,000 units were booked in just two days in a row between 7th and 8th October 2021, with 25000 bookings on each day. With this, the SUV has already received a price hike, and another one is expected in early 2022. As of now, the Mahindra XUV700 is priced from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, it is worth noting that any booking made after October 8 will be subjected to rates prevailing at the time of delivery.

Mahindra offers the XUV700 in two seating configurations (5-and 7-seater) and four trims (MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7). The base-spec MX and top-spec AX7 trims are only available in a 5-seater and 7-seater configuration, respectively, while the mid-spec AX3 and AX5 variants come in both seating options. Features onboard the SUV include an LED illumination system, two 10.25-inch connected screens for the infotainment and digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology with Alexa-AI assistant, dual-zone climate control, segment's largest panoramic sunroof, powered driver's seat with memory function, flush-fitting door handles, up to 7-airbags, ABS with EBD, front & rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and multiple driving modes (diesel only), etc. 

The top-spec AX7 trim is also available with an optional Luxury pack that comprises additional features like a Sony 3D sound system, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, a wireless phone charger, and an electronic parking brake. 

Powering the XUV700 are two engine choices – 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol and 2.2-liter turbo-diesel. Its segment's most powerful gasoline mill generates a maximum grunt of 200PS and a peak torque of 380Nm. The oil burner, on the other hand, comes in three states of tunes: – 155PS/360Nm for the MX trim, 185PS/420Nm for the AX manual, and 185PS/450Nm for AX automatic trims. Both motors come with a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission.

The XUV700 rivals the Tata Harrier/Safari, MG Hector/Hector Plus. Hyundai Creta/Alcazar, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Renault Duster.
