Korean Automaker Hyundai has recently released a few official images of its upcoming Casper micro-SUV. And now, its real-life images and videos have been leaked on the web.
While we have already discussed about the exterior design of the mini-SUV, the latest images reveal more details about its interior. The latest spy shots reveal a premium yet sporty setup, featuring white leather seats with black & yellow inserts. On the other hand, the cushions of the front seats are dressed up in the sporty blue shade, while the backrest is in white with CASPER badging. This cabin scheme differs from the previous spy images, suggesting that its Active trim will witness a few changes that will set it apart from the standard model. The changes will not be limited to the interiors only, but both of its models (Standard and Active) will come with a different grille.
Apart from this, one can also see the cupholders and a uniquely designed armrest between the driver’s and co-passenger seats. Also, if you haven't noticed, the Hyundai Casper will come in a 4-seat layout, at least in South Korea.
The dashboard layout of the upcoming Hyundai Casper is yet to be seen, but the official images have already exposed the presence of a floating touchscreen infotainment system. Besides, this smallest Hyundai SUV will also get 17-inch alloy wheels, a sharkfin antenna, roof rails and a single-pane sunroof.
Hyundai is likely to offer the Casper with two petrol engine options in South Korea: 76PS 1.0-liter naturally aspirated and 100PS 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol units. Both engines will be paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission. However, its India-spec version could get Grand i10 Nios’ 1.2-liter petrol (83PS/114Nm), 1.2-liter diesel (75PS/190Nm), and 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol (100PS/172Nm) engines.
Expect Hyundai Casper to hit the Indian shores sometime in 2022 with prices likely to start from around Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go up against the Mahindra KUV100 NXT, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, and the upcoming Tata Punch.
