Skoda Slavia: Which Variant Offers The Most Value?

Latest Update: Skoda Slavia will offer smaller touchscreen infotainment in its top-spec trims amid the ongoing semiconductor supply shortage. Click here for details.

Skoda Auto has recently launched Slavia as the brand’s second highly localized model under its ‘INDIA 2.0″ business strategy. Priced between Rs 10.69 lakh to Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the mid-size sedan is available in three variants: Active, Ambition, and Style. Yes, the asking prices are relatively on the higher side. But it has its own USPs, which could help the Czech automaker make an impact on the moribund sedan segment.

  • Safety: – Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, rear defogger, traction control, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

3. Skoda Slavia Style

VariantPricePremium Over Ambition Trim
1.0L TSI with 6-speed MT (w/o sunroof)Rs 13.6 lakhRs 1.2 lakh

Skoda Slavia features
Skoda Slavia interior
  • Comfort & Convenience: – Rain-sensing wipers*, auto headlamps*, ventilated front seats, height-adjustable co-driver’s seat, wireless smartphone charging.
  • Infotainment/Entertainment – Subwoofers* and connected car technology.
  • Safety: –  Side and curtain airbags, auto-dimming IRVM.

*Only with the sunroof-equipped model.

Verdict: Since the price difference between the sunroof and non-sunroof variants is just Rs 40,000 (considering MT variants), we recommend you to skip it. For this small premium, you get all the stared(*) features extra.

Buyers who want to enjoy Slavia to the fullest should consider this trim. However, the prices of the 1.5-liter variants are indeed quite high. It would have been better if Skoda had offered a few extra features like a power-adjustable driver’s seat, front parking sensors, 360-degree camera, and remote vehicle functionalities for engine start & cabin pre-cooling.
