In order to enhance the user experience, Tata Motors will soon introduce the Indian vernacular voice assistant in their cars and SUVs that has been co-developed by Mihup Communication (a Kolkata-based start-up) and Harman International.

Christened as ‘AVA Auto’ solution, it gets Indian dialect support in the form of Hinglish (Hindi + English) language. It allows the users to control various in-car functions hands-free such as air-condition, phone, calls, navigation, audio system, radio, etc. The system also answers back to the user voice command. It has online, offline, and hybrid connectivity options. The offline model has already been introduced in the Altroz and Nexon. It will be introduced in other Tata cars and SUVs soon.
The brand will also introduce Tamilish (Tamil + English) and Benglish (Bengali + English) language support with an aim to incorporate all major Indian languages by 2022.

Besides the added support for the voice assistant, all the Tata cars save for the Tiago and Tigor, already comes with iRA connected car technology which offers a range of connectivity features such as remote control for various functions, What3Word based navigation assistant, geofencing, valet mode, roadside assistance support, find my car, live vehicle tracking, theft alert, live vehicle diagnostic, driving behavior analysis and more.
In the other news, Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the successor model of Tigor EV (could be named X Pres-T EV) and its first micro-SUV HBX (codenamed) sometime later this year.
