One Moto Electa Electric Scooter With 150km Range Launched In India

One Moto, a British mobility brand, has launched its new electric scooter called Electa in India at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). After the Commuta and Byka, it is the third offering from the company in our country. Bookings for the EV have already begun through both offline and online mediums, while deliveries will commence in February 2022.

The One Moto Electa is a retro-styled scooter that will remind you of the classic Vespa scooters. It features a circular headlamp with vertically stacked turn indicators positioned on the front cowl, a curved footboard section, and a flat seat with a luggage carrier at the rear. It gets a circular analog instrument cluster that supports the brand's smartphone application, enabling connected features like Geo-fencing, IoT, maintenance alerts, among others. Interested customers can also opt chrome package for added appearance.

Powering the Electa is a 4kW Brushless DC Hub Motor from BOSCH that draws its charge from a 72V 45Ah removable lithium-ion battery. One-Moto claims a top speed of 85kmph and a maximum range of 150 kilometres/charge in urban areas. The battery can be charged in 4 hours. Since it has a detachable battery, opting for a swappable battery solution is another option for your range anxiety. 

The company is offering a 3-years warranty on its motor, controller, and battery.

The One Moto Electa is quite expensive than its key rivals such as Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, and TVS iQube.
