Upfront, it features a new twin-slat grille, surrounded by heavy chrome bars with Isuzu branding on the top of it. It also gets new bi-LED projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps and a redesigned sporty bumper that also houses new LED fog lamps.

With the introduction of a new 20-inch alloy wheel, it looks sportier than before. Along with this, it even gets a choice of 17-inch and 18-inch wheels. The SUV also gets flared wheel arches and sharp upper shoulder lines that lengthen the whole car, adding elegance to the side profile.

Engine Options

The new Isuzu mu-X is offered with two engine options in Thailand: a 1.9-liter turbocharged petrol (150PS/350Nm) and 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel (190PS/450Nm) unit. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed automatic unit in diesel model, conveying the power to all four wheels whereas the petrol engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

When it will launch in India?

The previous-gen Isuzu mu-X has already been discontinued from the Indian market as the brand hasn’t updated the SUV to BS6 emission norms. There has been no official confirmation of this, but it is expected that Isuzu could introduce the new generation mu-X in India. It is likely to be launched in the coming months.
