Mercedes-Benz has launched the facelift version of E-Class long-wheelbase in the country at a starting price of Rs 63.6 lakh that goes upto Rs 80.9 lakh (ex-showroom India). The new model is available in three variants (Expression, Exclusive, and AMG Line) and with three engine options. Here's the detailed ex-showroom pricing: –

Compared to the pre-facelift model, the base variant of the new model is costlier by up to Rs 86,000, whereas the prices of Exclusive trims have been slashed by up to Rs 10,000. On the other hand, the AMG Line trim is Rs 1.25 lakh pricier than the earlier Elite trim.
2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB Facelift – What's New?
The updated E-Class gets a completely new front facia. It now comes with a refreshed mesh-type front grille, flanked by sharper LED headlamps. It also gets new bumpers at both ends, redesigned alloy wheels of 17-inch (18-inch for AMG Line), and new triangle-shaped split-LED tail lamps that seem inspired by the S-Class. Further, the E350D AMG Line variant also gets some more aggressive design elements.
The new E-Class also gets three new colour options – Designo Hyacinth Red, Mojave Silver, and High-tech Silver. Besides this, it continues to get the older Polar White, Obsidian Black, and Selenite Grey shades.
Inside, the facelifted E-Class sports a new capacitive touch control-based steering wheel, wrapped in premium Nappa leather. Further, the top-spec trim also gets a rear wireless charging pad and a new touchscreen in the rear-centre armrest to control various features of the car. Besides this, it continues to get the twin screens setup comprising a digital instrumentation cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. However, the infotainment now runs on the Mercedes’ latest MBUX system, which also supports connected car technology, Alexa, and Google smart devices. Using these AI-based features customers can now use certain features from the comfort of their home. The new E350D AMG Line also gets air suspension that can be raised by 55mm.
The other notable features of the facelifted E-Class include LED headlamps, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity, a 590W Burmester sound system, three-zone climate control, cruise control, a dual rear touchscreen setup, panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, powered front seats, wireless charging pads in both front & rear row, reclining rear seats, remote engine start-stop function, parking assist, seven airbags, active brake assist, ABS with EBD, parking sensors with camera, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring and many more.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB Facelift – Powertrain
The facelifted E-Class retains the same set of engines as the previous model that includes 2.0-litre turbo petrol (197PS/320Nm), 2.0-litre diesel (194PS/400Nm) and a 3.0-litre diesel engine (286PS/600Nm) that is exclusive for the AMG Line. All the engines come paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels.
Competitors
The E-class LWB facelift will continue to rival the likes of the Audi A6 (Rs 55.96-60.59 lakh), Volvo S90 (Rs 58.90 lakh), BMW 5 Series (Rs 56.00-69.10 lakh), and Jaguar XF (Rs 55.67 lakh). It is the only model in the segment that comes with a long wheelbase.
