Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that its XUV700 has crossed over the 1.5 lakh bookings mark in less than a year of its launch. The credit for its huge success can be attributed to its attractive design, superior performance, and features loaded cabin.
It is often said that great success comes at a price, and in the case of the XUV700, the cost (not the on-road price) is a huge waiting period. Due to the massive rage of the Mahindra XUV700, it is currently witnessing a waiting period of up to 2 years. On average, the SUV is attracting around 9,500 bookings per month. However, the SUVmkaer is encountering supply constraints and currently, over 80,000 orders are awaiting delivery. The ongoing chip crisis making the situation more worsen.

As per previous reports, the AX variants of Mahindra XUV700 have acquired almost 95 percent of the total bookings, with the top-of-the-line AX7 trim with Luxury Package alone holding 65 percent of reservations. For those who aren’t aware, it comes loaded with a wide range of premium features such as a twin-connected display for infotainment & instrument cluster, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a Sony premium sound system, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered driver’s seat with memory function, Alexa voice command compatibility, wireless smartphone charger, multiple driving modes, electronic parking brakes, traction control, 7 airbags, front & rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, driver drowsiness detection and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Mahindra offers the XUV700 in both petrol and diesel guise. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine makes 200PS/380Nm, whereas its 2.2-litre diesel mill generates up to 185PS/450Nm. Both engines can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Currently, the Mahindra XUV700 is priced between Rs 13.18 – 24.58 lakh (ex-showroom), rivaling the likes of MG Hector/Hector Plus, Tata Harrier/Safari, Hyundai Creta/Alcazar, and Jeep Compass.
