Hyundai Alcazar Bookings Open Officially; Interior And Features Revealed

Hyundai Motors India today has officially opened bookings for its upcoming Alcazar SUV for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Interested customers can make the booking either at a Hyundai dealership or on its official website. Prices of the SUV are expected to be revealed later this month.

The carmaker has also revealed the key features and interior images of the SUV for the first time. The cabin of the Alcazar looks largely similar to the Creta except for some minor differences in the form of a new black-&-brown cabin theme, and of course a different seating arrangement (6-& a 7-seater layout).

While the Alcazar will retain most of the equipment from Creta, it will also get a host of segment-first features that will help it gain an edge over its rivals. These mainly include a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, 8-speakers Bose premium sound system, auto Air Purifier with AQI display, front seatback table with retractable cup-holder & tablet holder, sliding sun visor in the front row, side footstep, and rear window sunshade. Besides, it also has a segment-leading wheelbase of 2,760mm.

The other notable features of the Hyundai Alcazar will include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, Hyundai BlueLink connected car technology, ventilated front seats, 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, wireless charging, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, 2nd-row one-touch tip & tumble seats (in 6-seater variant), puddle lamps with logo projection, multiple driving modes (comfort, eco, sport), traction control modes (snow, sand, mud), multiple airbags, ESC, and many more.

We have already revealed that the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar will be available in six trim: Signature, Signature (O), Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, and Platinum (O). Hyundai Alcazar – Color Options 

Hyundai has also announced the color choices of the upcoming SUV. It will be offered in 6 monotone paint schemes: Polar White, Titan Grey, Phantom Black, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, and Taiga Brown. There will also be an option to have the Polar White and Titan Grey shades with a contrast black colored roof.

What will power the Hyundai Alcazar? 

As mentioned in our previous stories, the Hyundai Alcazar will get two engine options: a 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. While the petrol engine is an uprated version of the Hyundai Tucson, the diesel engine is the same unit as the Creta. Let's take a look at their specifications: –

Expected Pricing & Competitors 

Expect Hyundai to price the Alcazar between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV500, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700.
