- Honda to provide its customers’ with vehicle scrapping solutions.
- The Japanese carmaker has tied up with MSTI for this initiative.
- Customers who will scrap their vehicle will get a scrapping value, along with a scrapping certificate to avail various incentives.
Honda Cars India has joined hands with Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India Private Limited (MSTI), a government-approved ELV scrapping and recycling company, to offer vehicle scrapping solutions to its customers for their End of Life Vehicles (ELVs).
This program enables customers to scrap their old vehicles in an eco-friendly, scientific manner. MSTI will work with Honda dealerships to provide vehicle evaluations, scrapping quotes, pick-up, transportation, and dismantling services. In addition, MSTI will also furnish customers with certificates of deposit/destruction. Using the Certificate of Deposit/ Destruction, customers will be able to claim eligible benefits under the Government of India’s Vehicle Scrappage Policy. Moreover, the customer will have peace of mind knowing that their old vehicle cannot be misused, leaving them with no legal liability for them afterwards.

This service is currently only available in Delhi NCR, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh where MSTI has scrappage centres. With the addition of new scrappage centres by MSTI, the coverage area will expand.
