Bajaj Pulsar F250 And N250 Launched, Prices Start From Rs 1.38 Lakh

After a lot of anticipation, Bajaj Auto has finally rolled out its flagship Pulsar offerings, the Pulsar F250 and N250 in the Indian two-wheeler market today. While the naked streetfighter is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh, the half-faired version will set you back by Rs 1.40 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).

New Bajaj Pulsar 250 specifications

Starting with the Pulsar F250, it looks quite sharp with a quarter fairing and bi-functional projector LED lamps surrounded by boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lamps. There’s also a tinted windscreen up top, which should help keep wind blast at bay. Its side lines considerably resemble the other Pulsar offerings, and thus its sporty styling will definitely appeal to youngsters especially.

On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar N250 is exactly similar to the Pulsar N250, albeit in a conventional naked streetfighter package that will remind you of the Yamaha MT-15.

In terms of features, both motorcycles are loaded with practical features like an all-LED illumination system, a semi-digital instrument cluster with no bezels for the LCD, and a USB charger. The console packs in a gear position indicator, clock, fuel efficiency and range indicator apart from the regular bits like a tachometer, a speedometer, an odometer, and a fuel gauge. Unfortunately, it misses out on the Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation assist,

Bajaj has offered the Pulsar F250 in two color options – Racing red and Techno Grey, while the N250 only gets the latter hue.

Coming to the heart of the matter, both the Bajaj Pulsar F250 and N250 utilize a new 249.07cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve oil-cooled fuel-injected engine that churns out 24.5PS of peak power at 8750rpm and 21.Nm of maximum torque at 6500rpm. The powerplant is mated to a 5-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. It is alleged to offer strong low and mid-range performance.

Both the Bajaj Pulsar 250 offerings sport a new tubular frame, which is claimed to offer high torsional stiffness and resistance to stress. They employ telescopic forks at the front and a Nitrox monoshock setup at the back for damping, while braking is done by 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes, assisted by a single-channel ABS. Both the bikes ride on 100/80-17 front and 130/70-17 rear section tyres.

Other specifications of the Pulsar 250 twins are as follows: –

Wheelbase 1351 mm
Seat height 795 mm
Ground clearance 165 mm
Kerb weight 162 kg (Pulsar N250), 164 kg (Pulsar F250)
Fuel tank capacity 14 L

Considering prices of the new Pulsar 250 twins, they could pose a serious threat to Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (Rs 1.83 – 1.84 lakh), Gixxer SF (Rs 1.30 lakh), Gixxer 250 (Rs 1.72 lakh), Hero Xtreme 200S (Rs 1.27 lakh) and even the Yamaha FZ 25 (Rs 1.36 – 1.38 lakh).

All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
