Kia’s next offering for the Indian market will be the Sonet Facelift, which is expected to be launched in the coming months. But ahead of its arrival, images of the upgraded SUV have surfaced on the web.
2024 Kia Sonet Facelift – What Do The Leaked Images Reveal?
- Being a facelift version, the 2024 Kia Sonet will boast significant design changes, especially at the front and rear of the SUV.
- While the grille design will remain unchanged, the updated SUV will feature a redesigned headlamp cluster, new claw-shaped LED DRLs and a tweaked front bumper.
- Changes on the sides are limited to the newly designed alloy wheels. However, things are more significant towards the rear, where it features Seltos-like connected LED taillamps and a new brawny bumper with a faux silver skid plate.
Interior and Features
- An earlier leaked image of the 2024 Kia Sonet Facelift reveals that the updated SUV will retain the ongoing dashboard layout, save for a new climate control panel.
- It will also recieve a refreshed black-&-tan dual-tone seat upholstery.
- Regarding features, the SUV is expected to receive a 360-degree surround view system, and some ADAS features similar to those found in the Hyundai Venue.
- Besides, features like an electric sunroof, semi-digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC, rear AC vents, connected car tech, wireless charger, in-built air purifier, six airbags, front & rear, etc., will be carried forward from the existing model.
Engine Options
Kia Sonet is expected to retain all three ongoing engine options: 1.2-litre petrol (83PS/115Nm), 1-litre turbo-petrol (120PS/172Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (116PS/250Nm). However, reports suggest that the brand could bring back the manual gearbox options for the diesel and turbo-petrol units.
Expected Price
Expect the facelifted Kia Sonet to command a significant price premium over the ongoing model that currently rerails between Rs 7.79 – 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
