Austrian bikemaker KTM has announced the prices of the new RC 390 ahead of its launch. It will be sold at Rs 3,13,922 (ex-showroom Delhi), demanding a significant premium of Rs 36,287 over the ongoing model.
2022 KTM RC 390 – What’s New?
– The upgraded KTM RC 390 has undergone a bunch of mechanical and cosmetic enhancements, along with feature additions.
– For starters, it sports a new single-piece LED projector headlamp with boomerang-shaped DRLs-cum-indicators, a bigger windscreen, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, a revised fuel tank design with enhanced capacity (13.7 liters; +4.2-litres up from the ongoing model), and a new split seat setup with broader pillion support.

– For a lighter and more riding-focused experience, the brand has equipped it with a new 1.5kg ultra-light frame (comprising a trellis frame and a bolt-on sub-frame), 1.7kg lighter five-spoke alloys, lightweight footpegs, and 960gm of lighter braking hardware. It also receives new clip-on-handlebars, positioned 15mm higher than the previous model for improved riding comfort.

– The upgraded racing beast also receives a contemporized suite of electronics, comprising a TFT display with KTM My Ride compatibility, cornering traction control, and cornering ABS with SUPERMOTO mode.
– Dimensionally, the sports bike measures 1,965mm in length, 799mm in width, 1,145mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1,347mm. The gross weight of the bike is 322kg.
– Powering the 2022 RC 390 is the same 373.5cc liquid-cooled engine as the ongoing model, generating 43.5PS and 36Nm, that’s 1Nm more than its predecessor. Transmission duties continue to be handled by a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch and a new quick-shifter.
