Maruti Suzuki has started official bookings for the new-generation Brezza for a token amount of Rs 11,000 ahead of its of price announcement on 30th June 2022. And as we have reported earlier, the upgraded sub-4m SUV will drop the ”VITARA” moniker, which might be used for the brand’s upcoming YFG midsize utility offering.
The latest teaser of the new-generation Brezza guarantees the presence of a single-pane electric sunroof, the first for any Maruti Suzuki car. Not only this but it will also be equipped with a new infotainment system with connected car tech, wireless smartphone charger, paddle shifters, rear AC vents, a heads-up display (HUD), and up to 6-six airbags. Powering the 2022 Maruti Brezza will be a 103PS/137Nm 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine that also propels the ongoing Ertiga and XL6. This new gasoline mill will come with both 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission options, replacing the older 4-speed AT unit. The carmaker could also offer the urban SUV with an environment-friendly CNG powertrain at a later stage.
We expect Maruti Suzuki to price the new Brezza from around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to be sold via the brand’s Arena dealerships.
