Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus GT Edge Limited Collection; New Variants Launched

After making the announcement in April this year, Volkswagen India now finally launched the much-awaited Virtus GT Plus variant with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Priced at Rs 16.89 lakh (ex-showroom), this variant brings great joy to enthusiasts. Earlier, this trim was only offered with the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

New GT Plus trim for VW Taigun

  • Volkswagen has launched the top-of-the-line Taigun GT Plus trim with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the second-from-the-top GT variant with a 7-speed DSG automatic unit.
  • With this, both these variants are now offered with both manual and DCT gearbox options.

  • Volkswagen has also introduced a special โ€˜GT Edge Limited Collectionโ€™ for the Virtus and Taigun GT Plus variants, under which new colours have been introduced.
  • These special collections are available in both manual and automatic versions.
  • Under the GT Edge Limited Collection, the Taigun GT Plus variant can be had in two new exterior paint schemes โ€“ Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Grey Matte. 
  • On the other hand, the Virtus GT Plus trim gets the Deep Black Pearl colour scheme.
