Volkswagen Breaks The Mold With Virtus Convertible

Volkswagen unveils specially designed Virtus Convertible in Brazil, showcased at Sao Bernardo do Campo factory during President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s visit. Thirty professionals at Volkswagen built this custom Virtus convertible prototype in just six weeks. Last year, the VW Group’s Skoda showcased Rapid Convertible as a student project in India.

Volkswagen Virtus Convertible – What’s Special?

Volkswagen Virtus Convertible

According to VW Brazil, the Virtus convertible prototype features a unique design and structural modification, making it more than just a roofless version of the regular sedan. The brand has done necessary strengthening at crucial points and added a special rod to connect the B-pillars for stability. It also boasts pillarless doors and different suspension components.

The convertible also offers enhanced legroom. This also results in changes to the fuel tank and rear seats, offering a distinctive driving experience with open-air exhilaration.

The display model sports a vibrant Biscay Blue hue, complemented by 18-inch wheels in a dark finish.

Powering this VW Virtus Convertible is a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine, which isn’t available with India-spec Virtus.
