Toyota has finally taken the wraps off from the facelift version of Innova Crysta in Indonesia where it is named 'Kijang Innova'. It's the first time when the Innova Crysta gets the mid-life update since it was launched in 2016. It gets a redesigned front styling, newly styled alloy wheels, and some new features. The updates suggest how the India-bound model will look like.
2021 Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift – Design
The facelifted Innova MPV gets a new front-end styling with an updated glossy black grille, surrounded by chrome elements. It also sports chrome extensions for the headlamps with new LED DRLs.
The bumpers at both ends are also refreshed, featuring a blacked-out section. The front bumper also gets a silver skid plate and it continues to house LED fog lamps but at repositioned whereas the turn-indicators are now separate units, housed in a vertically stacked framing.

On the side, it features new dual-tone machined alloy wheels while the overall silhouette of the car is similar to the ongoing model.
Like the front, the rear bumper also sports black elements but in a subtle manner. There is another black section on the tailgate (hexagonal shaped) between the taillamps.
Interior
Inside, the overall design of the Innova Crysta facelift’s interior is similar to the current model. As the Innova Crysta (Kijang Innova) is available in two variants in Indonesia: Venture & Luxury, both trims feature a different color scheme. The Luxury trim gets a brown color theme while the Venturer gets an all-black cabin with a black dashboard along with a darker wood panel and contrast red stitching on the leatherette seats.
It also gets an updated instrument cluster design, an in-built air purifier with an air quality indicator, and a new 9-inch Miracast touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Apart from the above-mentioned features, it continues to get automatic climate control, rear AC vents, steering-mounted audio controls, cruise control, keyless entry with an engine start/stop button. The safety kit includes 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and a rearview camera.
Engine & Gearbox
Under the hood, the Indonesia-spec Innova gets the same 2.0-liter petrol and 2.4-liter diesel engine options. The India-spec version is likely to house the ongoing engine options – 2.7-liter petrol and 2.4-liter diesel engines.

Expect India Launch
Toyota will launch the Innova Crysta Facelift in India by early-2021. Currently, it is priced between Rs 15.66 lakh to Rs 23.63 lakh (ex-showroom). Its facelift update will surely command a premium over the current model.
