Improved Performance
Starting with the heart of the new TVS NTorq Race XP variant, it gets the same 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine as the other variants, but it has been tuned to generate a maximum power output of 10.2PS at 7,000rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at 5,500rpm, which is 0.82PS & 0.3Nm more than the other variants of NTorq. The power delivery is enhanced by significant improvements in the gas flow dynamics and combustion. With this, it has become the only scooter in the 125cc segment to have more than 10PS power.
Multiple Riding Modes
In addition to the improved engine performance, TVS has also equipped the scooter with two riding modes: Street and Race. The Street mode is for absolute daily commute and city traffic conditions, which is meant to increase fuel efficiency and offer a smooth riding experience. The Race mode, on the other hand, lets the riders feel the strengthened performance at its fullest, with a claimed top speed of 98kmph.
New Features
As for features, the new NTorq Race XP trim gets an updated SmartXonnect system that now comes with Voice Assist feature, enabling customers to engage with the scooter through 15-different voice commands to access various functions like starting navigation, activating DND (Do Not Disturb) mode, changing riding modes, adjusting instrument cluster brightness, etc. However, riders will be required to use a Bluetooth listening device (similar to the Honda H'Ness CB350) to use the voice assist feature.
It also gets renewed user interface for the 'bike overview' section and a new ‘Save Address’ function for the navigation system, making it easy to navigate to regular routes.
Besides, all the other features are similar to the ongoing Race Edition that mainly includes an all-LED headlamp with LED DRLs, front disc brake, telescopic front fork, rear shock absorber, and drum brake.
Cosmetic Enhancements
The new Race XP trim flaunts a new race-inspired tri-tone color scheme (black, red & white) along with sporty red alloy wheels, unique graphics, and 'Race XP' badges to make it distinct from the Race Edition.
