TVS Expands Raider Super Squad Edition with New Doctor Doom-Inspired Variant

TVS Motor Company has introduced a new Doctor Doom-inspired variant to the Raider 125’s Super Squad Edition (SSE), priced at Rs 95,320 (ex-showroom). At this price point, it is Rs 750 more expensive than the existing Super Squad Edition colour options.

Taking a cue from Marvel’s iconic post-credits tradition that has kept fans eagerly waiting through the end credits for over a decade, TVS Raider surprised and delighted moviegoers by unveiling a new Doctor Doom-inspired variant following the post-credits sequence of the newly released film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in select theatres in India.

TVS Raider 125 Doctor Doom Super Squad Edition – What’s Special?

The latest Super Squad Edition features a new Spectral Green colourway with Doctor Doom-inspired green and silver graphics, featuring a unique multi-tone travel finish that transitions from green to brown, giving the sporty commuter a more aggressive and premium look.

Apart from this cosmetic update, the motorcycle remains unchanged and continues to offer the same sporty styling and feature set as before.

Engine Details

That said, powering the TVS Raider is a 124.8 cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 11.4PS of max power and 11.75Nm of peak torque. It also benefits from the brand’s iGo Assist system, which is basically an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG)-based system that combines the starter motor and alternator into one unit that starts the engine smoothly & quietly, and turns off the engine automatically during traffic or idling conditions to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption. Over time, this can lead to noticeable fuel savings, especially for a daily commuter.

Features

In terms of features, the TVS Raider 125 SSE variant comes equipped with LED headlamps with DRLs, alloy wheels, an LCD console with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts, and a front disc brake with single-channel ABS.

Rivals

In the 125cc commuter segment, the Raider 125 takes on the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar 125, Hero Xtreme 125, and the Honda SP125.
