Toyota Innova Hycross Crosses 50,000 Sales Milestone

Toyota Innova Hycross, launched in late 2022, has finally crossed the 50,000 sales milestone mark in the country. It is the third-generation model of the Toyota Innova MPV in India and the first to be underpinned on a monocoque chassis, opting for a front-wheel-drive (FWD) over rear-wheel-drive (RWD). In fact, it also departs from the diesel engine tradition, offering only a petrol model, paired with an optional strong-hybrid system.

Among Indian consumers, the Toyota Innova brand holds significant popularity, and despite all these changes, this sales trend persists with the latest Hycross model. Such is the extent of its appeal that the Toyota-Suzuki collaboration unveiled the Invicto, essentially a rebranded variant of the Innova Hycross. Currently, the Hycross is witnessing a wait time of around 6 months in major metro cities.

Engine Specifications

As mentioned above, Toyota offers the Innova Hycross with a 2-litre petrol engine (174PS/205Nm), paired with a CVT automatic gearbox. This mill can also be teamed up with a strong hybrid system with select variants that offer an increased power output of 186PS and claims a fuel efficiency of 23.24 kmpl.

The Toyota Innova Hycross is packed up to the brim with premium features like automatic LED headlamps, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, 8-way powered driver’s seat with memory function, electrically adjustable Ottoman 2nd-row seats, dual-zone AC, front ventilated seats, PM2.5 air filter, 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, JBL sound system, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring, front & rear parking sensors, six airbags, and Toyota Safety Sense ADAS suite, which further comprise state-of-the-art active safety techs like auto high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, lane trace assist, blind-spot monitoring and pre-collision system.

Price Range

Toyota currently retails the Innova Hycross from Rs 19.77 lakh to Rs 30.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), placing it as a more premium option to the Toyota Innova Crysta.
