Toyota Hyryder CNG Launch Soon, Bookings Open

In a very surprising move, Toyota India has announced the arrival of Hyryder CNG, making it the first mid-size SUV to get one. Bookings for the Toyota Hyryder CNG are now underway and its prices will be announced in the coming days.

Toyota will offer the Hyryder CNG in mid-spec S and G variants. It will be powered by the same 103PS 1.5-litre DualJet petrol engine as the standard model; however, there will be a significant power drop when running in CNG mode. While its specifications are yet to be revealed, it is expected to deliver 88PS and 121.5Nm as the Ertiga and XL6 CNG. Expect it to deliver a fuel efficiency of around 26km/kg.

Apart from this, the mid-size SUV is already available with a self-charging strong-hybrid petrol engine option, which claims to deliver a fuel efficiency of 27.97kmpl.

We expect the Hyryder CNG to range between Rs 13.23 lakh and Rs 15.29 lakh (ex-showroom), commanding a premium of Rs 95,000 over their standard petrol-only counterparts.
