Toyota Hyryder AWD Now Available With Automatic Gearbox; Safety Improved

For 2025, the Toyota Hyryder has received a range of updates, including enhanced safety, structural improvements and added convenience features. Without any ado, let’s dive deep into the details.

2025 Toyota Hyryder – What’s New?

  • The Creta-rivaling mid-size SUV now gets six airbags as standard fitment across the lineup.
  • The brand has also made some structural enhancements to improve the rigidity of the body frame.
  • Toyota has also introduced a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox for the Hyryder AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) variants, replacing the older manual transmission.
  • To enhance convenience, it now also features a powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, 15W type-C USB fast-charging ports, and electroic parking brakes. The latter is limited to select automatic variants.
  • The carmaker has also added an Air Quality Index Display and rear window sunshades to select variants.
  • Toyota has also made the LED spot lamps and reading lamps standard across the lineup, along with an updated speedometer with improved readability and clearer information.
  • The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) has been introduced in more variants for better real-time tyre pressure monitoring.
  • Dual-tone exterior colour options have been introduced in select variants to enhance styling choices.

Price Increment

All these updates come at a price, with the SUV now costing up to Rs 20,000 more. Having said that, its prices now start from Rs 11.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

Powertrain

Toyota continues to offer the Hyryder with three powertrain choices: 1.5-litre mid-hybrid petrol, 1.5-litre NA petrol with CNG, and 1.5-litre strong-hybrid petrol.
