Tata Rolls Out 3,00,000th Unit of Punch SUV

Launched in October 2021, the Tata Punch compact SUV has crossed a production milestone of 3 lakh units in India.

The Punch quickly gained popularity in the Indian market, achieving robust sales. By August 2022, it celebrated the accomplishment of selling 1 lakh units, and by May 2023, it surpassed the 2 lakh units mark. Now, within a span of just 8 months, the Punch has achieved yet another milestone by reaching sales of 3 lakh units.

Let’s delve into what this entry-level Tata SUV brings to the table: –

  • Powering the Tata Punch is a 1.2-litre petrol engine (88PS/115Nm), paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The brand also offers it with a factory-fitted CNG kit, mated only to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
  • The Tata Punch comes with a decent set of comfort & convenience features, such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, iRA-connected car tech, a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, height-adjustable driver’s seat, single-pane electric sunroof, cruise control, and rear wiper washer.
  • Its safety kit comprises dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX anchors, and rear parking sensors with a camera.
  • Tata offers the Punch in four trim levels: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative, priced between Rs 6 – 10.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
